Mark Walker

Mark was born in London, grew up in Berkshire and has made the South of England home for more than twenty years as he loves to be within easy reach of the sea.

Still in his teens when he got his big break to get behind the mic, he's now been working in the radio business for more than a quarter of a century.

Mark loves all kinds of music - old and new - but if you have a rummage through his CD collection you’ll see he's a huge soul and jazz fan.  Who can relax you more than Ella Fitzgerald and a glass of something chilled and who can put you in a better mood than some of the old crooners like Sinatra, Nat King Cole or Dean Martin playing at full blast?

Having said all that, Mark claims his favourite concert was Queen and Quo at Wembley!

Away from work, Mark loves to travel; the USA fascinates him but France is his favourite not least so he can practice the language!  He' a bit of a classic car freak, loves food (eating it, not cooking it) and has recently joined the gym to run it all off!

Catch Mark Walker Sunday afternoons from 3pm-7pm.
