The Community Billboard sponsored by Stannah is where you can promote your local event, charity or not-for-profit organisation. We run features on-air and give people in North West Hampshire the chance to find out about your cause. We're giving local community groups and charities a voice.

The Community Billboard gives local charities and community groups the chance to have a new voice in North West Hampshire FREE OF CHARGE.

The Community Billboard is only open to registered charities and not for profit groups that are of genuine benefit to the community. Commercial organisations will not be eligible unless they can demonstrate a real benefit to a charity or the community.

IF YOU ARE PROMOTING AN EVENT - you need to add your details to The Guide - our online listing service. It's FREE and your event will normally appear online within 24 hours during working days. For maximum effect you need to do this as soon as you have confirmed details for your event. We promote events listed on The Guide on the radio as well, but we can make no guarantee of this.Please ensure that details are correct when adding them to The Guide as any changes may not be possible especially as on air listings are often recorded a few days before broadcast. For large events we may invite you to come in to our studios to record a short piece about your event, but this is not always possible.

FEATURED CHARITIES AND GROUPS

The Scott Centre Pre-School

The Scott Centre is part of a Charity called Youth Options. We run after-school clubs and breakfast clubs in Andover.

Weyhill Electronic Organ Society

If you like your music to be melodic, east listening and live, this is the place for you. A progressive and popular club, staging monthly concerts - mainly at the Fairground Hall, Weyhill but occasionally at The Lights in Andover.

Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital

The Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital provides a 24-hour rescue and advice service. Our team of dedicated volunteers rescues, treats, cares for and rehabilitates mammals, birds and reptiles in preparation for their release back to the wild in and around the Wiltshire/Andover area.

Forest Wings Project

Forest Wings is about raising awareness of deforestation in the precious tropical rainforest. It started when 6 school friends saw an upsetting video in their geography class, and since they all felt very strongly about saving the forest for future generations they all started their own organisation to raise awareness.

Home Start (Andover)

Home-Start Andover and district is a local charity devoted to families and offers support to families with a child or children under 5. We support families by 'matching' a Home-visiting volunteer who have either been parents or have parenting experience.

Origin Training Project

We have pigs, sheep, pygmy goats, 70 chickens and two little dogs. Set up as a social enterprise project, the smallholding is based between Andover and Stockbridge.

Mencap

Mencap is the leading voice of learning disability. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers.

Andover Carnival

Andover Carnival is a not for profit organization of 15 volunteers who enjoy putting the fun back into fundraising. The 2013 carnival is taking place on the 7th July and there is an open theme.

Andover Young Carers

Andover Young Carers is an independent charity established to provide support for these children and young people.

Andover Hockey Club

Andover Hockey Club has a number of teams mens and ladies ranging from Under 8 years through to Veterans. We compete at weekends in Junior and Senior leagues across Hampshire and enter our mini's into monthly tournaments.

Andover and District Lions Club

Andover and District Lions Club works under the umbrella of Lions International. We are seeking more members.

Skills 2 Achieve

Enham Trust has a learning division which offers help and support for 16-18 year olds (who are not in education, employment or training).

Andover Childminders Association

We are a registered childrens charity that cares for approximately 700 local children. As a charity we offer our children opportunities.

James's Place

We offer day respite and bespoke opportunities, enabling its members to build confidence and develop life skills. Members are encouraged to push their boundaries and try out new experiences, in order to grow and develop.

The North West Hampshire Job Club has been formed to provide support and skill development for people in job transition or at risk of redundancy. Meetings are held at the Wolversdene Club on Love Lane, Andover, every Thursday from 09:30 to 12:00 (ish).
